Imperial Luger Tools

Hi All,

I was just looking over my Imperial Tools and noticed that two had the same crown/letter.

That started me to think, is there any letter that is rare?
Are there letters that are common?

C/C, C/G, C/H, C/L, C/M, C/N, 3 lobe crown X are rare, C/V is often seen. More under http://www.militaria-fundforum.de/sh...d.php?t=243112

Klaus

Could you please explain why this particular loading tool would be hitting the "jackpot"? Enquiring minds would like to know. Thanks!

Hello Sergio,

I bought one last week in a gun shop. The one that is in Norme's first post in this thread. I don't know anything about it yet. What can you or anyone else tell me about it?

You might want to send Norme a PM concerning the tool.....just a thought.

Klaus, That top row of holsters is VERY nice. I bet the others are as good. Thanks for the picture. John

Hi Joseph, Sorry to be late responding, I was overseas. The two lobed crown/D mark is the earliest German military inspection mark known and is the same distinctive mark that was used on the very first German Army test guns ( formerly known as Danzig Test). If yours is indeed identical to the one shown it is very rare, with only two known examples.

Ooh! I like that front sight adjusting tool! It looks like it has two different sight band diameters - which two is it for??? :)

It is Swidish and only for the Luger. I will take a picture to show how it is to handle.

Norme,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. It turns out mine is a 3 lobed tool so it was close, but not the "Jackpot" I was curious about. However, I am a little more enlightened regarding tool marks thanks to your posts, Lugerholster Repair and Dave Lindsey.

Best Regards,

Joe G.
