Can someone Translate this marking? LDST. J.B. XIV./3.

I'm trying to make it :

Light Division Train Transport Service or some such, probably
way out in left field.

Wow, I thought Luger markings were complex... This one looks like someone spilled a can of Campbell's Alphabet Soup!

What would be the "Landsturm"??

The Landsturm was the third line of reserve troops following the Reserve and then the Landwehr. It was made up of men 40 and older and boys who had not undergone formal military training.

I thought that I was the only one that owned a 1907 Dreyse handgun. I have owned mine since 1972, and never fired it. This thread has me re-interested in this old piece, and it is time to drag it out and give it a good look. No telling what I might just find.

Mine shoots very well and I have you beat on time -
it has been in the family since some 60+ years.

Now I am the custodian.
