Ebay1941 Luger Holster, Faked Markings?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-WW2...#ht_264wt_1361
Are the markings faked on the back of holster? THANKS FOR YOUR HELP! |
The stitching is way too messy.
I say "antiqued" fake all around. |
It looks OK to me.

If it's faked, somebody did an awful lot of good work for something that just might sell for under a hundred. The leather has quite a sense of age to it. Stitching on the front, above the toe, looks crooked, but that's because the leather is squished in. Those belt loops look just like the ones on my greasy old military holster that was converted to police style. There are some fuzzy wads of thread here and there, but it doesn't quite have the look of those Pakistani/Indian jobs. I wonder what Jerry's verdict will be.

Interested in Jerry's verdict too. This holster looks legit to me as well. Sorry Alanint...

It looks fine to me. Bill

Every Luger dealer sells fake or boosted items from time to time, the honest ones disclose the fact.

Most of the time. Bill |
I would say its just the angle and also thicker linen - I have had a couple with very thin thread, it has a totally different look than one using thick thread.
And you could always email Tom, Andrew or Kurt and ask them if its fake :) |
