Gortz and Sturgess

I'm not sure if this is appropriate, but I was wondering if someone who has a PDF copy of the Gortz and Sturgess book could send me a screenshot of a particular page? I'm looking for page 497. If this is an inappropriate request, my apologies!

Exactly what I wanted, thanks! I have possession of the pistol in the photo on the page, and I wanted to know why it was in the book. Would you mind if I used the image on gunbroker?

The Sturgess / Goetz book is copyrighted in the USA, including all the photographs. I would not use anything in public, particularly to market something.

You certainly could make reference to your firearm being depicted on that page of the book, but any commercial reuse of their material would violate copyright.

We're not the ones that could give your permission in any case.

Yeah, that very thing occurred to me after I posted that last. The auction is already up without the page from the book, but I may revise and quote the text. Thanks!

He could still post pics of his own and then reference the pic of it used in the Sturgess & Gortz book.

Stating that S&G used pics of the gun in his possession would lend it a certain interest, though not any added value, IMHO.

if you can afford buying this gun for resale, then I suggest you can borrow a digital camera and take pictures of your own.

rexmerdinus 03-25-2015 10:28 AM

Already did that, but I was just looking to add to it. I'll just quote the text, thanks!

did you say you own the gun and the authors got your photos and used without permissions from you? not sure what you mean from comment in post no 3

rexmerdinus 03-25-2015 06:03 PM

Negative sir. I bought the weapon not too long ago, and knew that it was in the book. I just wondered what it was about the gun that got it featured in the book.

rexmerdinus 03-25-2015 06:05 PM

I bought the gun, but Commander Wife wasn't too happy about it. Apparently "do whatever you want" doesn't mean what I thought. :) So now it's up on Gunbroker, and if I turn a small profit I am vindicated in having bought it in the first place.
