.22 cal Luger?
|
Magazine: No magazine included.
Comments: Numbers match on the frame, locking bolt and side plate, the rear sight does not match. Magazine is not numbered. No magazine shown. That would be a problem, I think. But interesting. Doesn't show any breechface closeups - might be an item to ask a question about. |
I would ask for a lot more photos, especially the face of the breechblock, and the muzzle and chamber of the barrel. Nothing in the photographs indicates that this is .22 caliber. A .22 conversion unit has not been installed. No magazine is included, and if this is in fact a .22 custom conversion, just any old .22 magazine will not do... it could turn out to be a very expensive single shot, or just a mislabeled auction and the gun may be 9mm or .30 caliber.

Someone got ahold of some navy sights/toggles and a barrel full of long barrels--scroll down a little to see them at this link. |

I have a 22LR conversion just like this. You can just see the barrel insert sticking out the front. The bolt has been modified for 22LR and the firing pin has the front cone removed so it is flat and a pin added to the left side of it. Then the bolt has been machined for 22LR and drilled on the left side for the firing pin, BUT mine was not machined to feed off a 22LR magazine, so it is single shot (I suspect this is the same?). I plan on getting the bolt machine like the Erma 22LR kit, by machining the bottom and sides. Then it will feed off an Erma kit mag (NOT the slender mag from the standard Erma 22LR Luger). ALSO critical for this to go from single shot to feed off a mag, is BALANCING the springs to the toggle and firing pin for 22LR, and remove the ejector and use the right rear ear on the 22LR mag for ejection.

They show you every angle but the frikkin' bore! There is also an adjustable insert missing from the front sight.
