Artillary/Navy stocks

Just what are the difference between the Artillery and the Navy stocks? I have seen the Navy with a metal disk but are there other differences, length? I read that they are not suppose to be interchangeable? legal or physical? Thank you, Hugh

Navy vs. Artillery stocks

There is definitely a length difference. I believe the Navy is 12 3/4" & the Artillery is 13 3/4". Bill

By law, in the USA you can only attach a Navy stock to a Navy Luger, and attach an Artillery Stock to an Artillery Luger. The stock can be original or reproduction. Matching or non-matching. You just cannot mix them.

Any other combination becomes a NFA taxed Short Barrel Rifle.
