Here's another thread thanking Jerry (LugerHolsterRepair) for his excellent work.

Last summer, I bought a wartime army accepted Walther PP which came with two magazines and a holster:

After a couple of days with Jerry doing a repair / restoration here's how it looks:

I elected to dye it black to give a more uniform appearance. Jerry replaced the belt loop and magazine pouch too... All in all, it should be serviceable for another 80 or 90 years!

Thanks Jerry!

Marc

Looks excellent Marc

He just finished a WW1, then Weimar era adaptation (adding of a cleaning rod pouch) and weimar unit marked.

It will be nice to see it. However, it was simply missing a pull up and Jerry fixed that, no before pictures, but I'll show it later.

I was thinking this example should be entered in the " ugliest Krieghoff holster contest " !! Anywayz the inner panel with chicken 2 and the pull strap are actually pretty decent . I always thought this may someday be interesting and maybe that day is here . Thoughts ?

How does a holster get in that condition? Not being used..laying in a farmyard or? Weird. Thanks for showing though!

No idea on how it got like this . Still supple and the inner piece - lift strap are very good !!??!! Anywayz it came from Ken Kontos years ago when the vacuum was focused on Krieghoff stuff . It was fairly cheap thank goodness as it is a tic rough .

Truly a work of art.

I have had a couple that were 'roached' on the front, yet the back was really nice. Always assumed the front was exposed to the weather for 43 years and the back was stuck to a desk :) or something :D

I think it could look like this if someone left it on the dashboard of a car for about ten years, then dragged behind the car for an hour or so. Maybe they put it in a dryer with rocks. Never had a Kreighoff holster in hand, but I think you are right, it would at least qualify to enter that contest, judging by the pics!
