Hi!
Hello,
Long time lurker. After completing my US military collecting goals, I've branched out to German pistols. I'm looking forward to learning more! Chad |

Hi Chad! Welcome to the non-lurking crowd! I look forward to seeing the start of your German collection! US military weapons are the one area I have not started in yet... It's a rabbit hole I'd like to avoid (I primarily collect WWI service weapons so Webleys, Lugers, a Nagant, and a French M 1892, but now I need Austro-Hungarian and Italian and American...). :P
Anyway, welcome on board! What's your hoped for first acquisition? |
I apologize if I was in anyway misleading! I was hopped up on cold medicine for the past few days, and maybe not clear....I have a few German pieces in my collection already, I just need to learn more so I'm somewhat knowledgeable in asking questions! As of now, I have a Borchardt my grandfather brought back from France, a P.08, P.38 and a PP. So I have a pretty good start!
The rabbit hole you speak of can be a big one! LOL! I've collected US from pre WW1 to post Korea. Currently my collection consists of M1 Garands, Carbines, Krags, various 1903's, WW1&2 British- Enfields, I'd love to add a Webley or 2 soon....im waiting for a WW2 Vickers semi auto build to begin. One sub collection I've enjoyed working on and recently had to stop is my sniper collection. I had to stop at the German stuff, because like the SS luger I posted about, I know nothing about. I'd love to add that stuff too, but know nothing about. I'm glad to know that the knowledge here on this forum is top notch. |
