Food City Commercial
This one has been around for awhile but even if you have already seen it I believe it is well worth the time to watch it again, hope you agree.
Lon Food City, a Grocery Store Chain, is located in the Southeast and is headquartered in Bristol, TN. This is a 1-minute commercial. Not a word is spoken... Very few commercials deserve to go viral. Perhaps this one does. www.youtube.com/embed/uoABty_zE00?rel=0 |

Gunny John:
If we are going to be critical in terms of military protocol, and because both the "Doggie" and the 1st Lt. were out of doors, the Doggie should have put his cover on, certainly before he saluted the 1st Lt. Having nit picked this, I do agree with you, Lon and everyone else………it is a well done, superb commercial!! Brought a tear to my eye as well. By the way Gunny John, love your icon.picture!! Probably ought to call the retriever??? Ron |
Sometimes, words don't need to be said in order to sent a message. Great commercial indeed.

Great commercial. Sniff. Bill

Roadkill must have been a jarhead, too, calling headgear a "cover" and a Army soldier a "doggie" ;)
Funny how terminology differs among the services.....reminds me of an instructive piece of wisdom I picked up a long time ago... Q. Whats the difference between a Marine head and a Army latrine? A. Over the urinal in the Marine head is a sign, saying "Please Don't Eat the Big White Mint." |

Great commercial. Sniff. Bill __________________ Bill Lyon Yeah, me too Bill. I realize it's just a commercial but when I see that kind of love and pride in and for someone, real or not, it can be hard to control ones emotions. :crying: |

Roadkill's no Marine, he can both read and write. Ever wonder why the Navy has Marine contingents on their ships? I was told that it was so the sailors would have someone to dance with. |
Ouch! I was being kind! :D
