Mag Dent Repair by G.T.

I was curious to if this heavy dent could be removed. I doubted it due to how thick the metal is. I also was worried abut the original base being cracked or broken. I sent it to G.T. to see if it could be removed.
Well in a very short time. 1 week return including shipping back and fourth. The results great and he was able to save the original base.
I thought I would post some before and after pics as may be useful to someone in the future if you need a mag fixed.

I know that GT is a skilled craftsman, but when ever I see examples of his work like these photos show, all I can say is WOW! Nice work GT. And thanks Michael for sharing!

Sometimes it just boggles the mind what G.T. can do

Good thing.
In the last few years I have noted that some people selling Lugers foist off the worst ones they have lying about on buyers.
I have gotten examples that were unserviceable.
Tough world.

How did G.T. DO that?! I didn't know you could remove a dent like that!

cirelaw 01-20-2015 12:44 PM

Great work! I wonder how it got like that in the first place! Not from normal use! Eric

We are so lucky to have as friends and members that are truly experts in each and every aspect of our love and addiction to lugers. I've been friends with many for over a decade. They are there for every birthday or illness. It is a lot more than our continued facination with a luger. Its our continued sharing that is so special. Being there at anytime is so great!! What we all have is a lot more than the object of our attention! Luv Ya!!

magazine repair....

Hello to all! I am extremely grateful to have a customer base that is rooted in this forum! I have been repairing mags for the last twelve years now, and I have not had one bad experience with the members here... I make mistakes, but overall, the wins far out weigh the loses.. I try my very best, to make the best repair possible, and to give the members a true value for their trust in me, money spent, and my efforts... As for this repair, I'd like to claim skill, but I'm better off saying I was probably lucky! ;)... As always, Thanks for the kind words... best to all, til...lat'r....GT...

I sent a fxo mag to GT to pin a new plastic bottom in it.....comes back in a week with a new spring, new follower button and no dents. Pin job is perfect...a true craftsman. GT`s only mistake is not charging enough for his services :) Thanks again GT !!!
