Shipping a pistol from Germany to the US?
I have the opportunity to purchase a rare S&W from a Dealer in Germany. He has sold to the US in the past and with an ATF form 6 it's zero issue.
My issue....Shipping...... via an overnight carrier is almost $600 to the US. The carrier is OVERNITE. checked and Fed-Ex doesn't ship forearms from EU. I'm investigating other options, but was wondering if anyone here may have any ideas? FN in MT |
Where is Craig MT ? I live in Stevensville. Not sure what they do but you might contact Simpson Ltd. Tues-Sat 309 342-5800. They are an importer as well as a large dealer. Don't know how they ship or anything. Good luck. Bill

Craig...On I-15 north of Wolf Creek....south of Cascade.
And I think I may have the issue solved. Found a Company that does these things all the time. |
Won't it have to be stamped by the importer?

I don't believe so. As it was made here originally then shipped to Germany.
I still have info incoming. I'll check on it. |
If its C&R and you are a collector, you can buy and have it shipped to you, AFTER proper paperwork is done. Does not have to be overnight???
But, I have seen M1 Carbines, S&W's and M1 Garands all import marked, and they are made in the USA, that is NOT the rule. So don't assume anything. You have to apply for import and then have all your paperwork in order. Craig is very close to where I own 10 acres near Cascade :) |
International shipping of firearms is very expensive, and getting more so with the passage of time. The only way I found to save is by spreading the costs over several guns in a single shipment.

Can't an individual, with the proper form 6 and other paperwork as needed, have a friend overseas bring it to him ??
