so many tools out there!!! which would be correct for my 42 byf? thanks in advance.

probably an EAGLE/135 marked tool, but, a 42 code spare, or even EAGLE/655 is close enough?....til...lat'r....GT:cheers:

correct 42 byf tool

proof is e135. does the tool need to be same? or were others issued with pistol. build date is june 1942. thanks Frank

Yes the correct tool is E/135.
