correct holster for 42 byf
 

HAPPY NEW YEAR- does anyone know what holster is the correct one for my 1942 byf? I saw one for sale today with the following markings : WAa 196 -eagle with swastica and the big P08 stamped on back. all info appreciated.......

It's my understanding that new Lugers were not necessarily issued with new holsters. I think the standard around here is within one year of the chamber date. So in your case a 1941 or 1942 would suffice. Just try to match the condition of the holster and gun. Check our own for sale section, as it seems like I've seen a couple lately.
