front site adjustment
I need to adjust the front sight on my luger it is shooting hi and to the left would like to at lest getting it shooting center can deal with high is their a tool out their for moving the front sight without taking a hammer and punch to it

All I can say, is use exclusively, brass, wood, and aluminum to support, hit and move stuff with.... And, make your hammer obey you better than usual?? ...:thumbup:... good luck, til...lat'r....GT:cheers:

There are front sight adjustment tools in two generic versions, one for 7.65mm guns and one for 9mm guns. Originals are expensive and repro/after market versions are still a bit costly for one-time use. Rather than incur that cost, I would recommend that you follow G.T.'s advise and use a brass or wood drift punch and judicious hammer taps to adjust your sight windage. Adjusting the shooting high is a bit more problematic since correcting that involves raising the front sight height or lowering the rear sight notch, both of which involve metal rather than mechanical work.

Good advise above. I have a DWM Luger that would shoot to the left also. By using a padded vise, and a brass drift with gentle persuasion via a small hammer, I got it move to where POA=POI. Just go slow and good luck.
