Newbie In Need of help with value on Gold Luger

1 Attachment(s)
Hi ,

New to this forum and have someone wanting to trade me this Gold Luger that is an American Historical Foundation Limited Edition that supposedly sold for over 3500 He wants to trade for my Wilson Combat 1911 that I value at 2,000 or so. I would appreciate some expertise from members here regarding whats it worth and any other info appreciated. The gun appears to be new in case now but I believe these were all bought used and given fancy treatment. Numbers do not match on left side. Also, if this is in wrong section, let me know.

Do NOT trade him. That gun is only worth about $800 if it shoots - maybe $1000 to someone who doesn't care about owning a defaced Luger and likes the bling.

Those are old guns made up of mismatched parts that were then gold plated to sell for lots of money to folks that just don't know better.

Essentially worthless.

Keep your Wilson. As stated above. These have virtually no resale value.

But think of all the "ooooo's" and "aaaahhhhhh's" you'd get at the range when you whipped that baby out...
Throw in a fabricated story about Hitler, or at the least Gohring, and you might drink free for quite some time.
Just kidding, of course. I agree with all fo the above respondants.
