Hi, i'm a new user and i'm writing from Italy.
You would excuse my bad english.
I would to buy a luger that according to seller it's all original of 1939.
I just have see that the barrel have no marking.
It's a good gun? What could be a real value?
Many thanks to everyone, photos attached.

There should be a WaffenAmt, serial number numeric digits, barrel measurement and proof stamp on the barrel.

Look carefully to see if it is an armorer's replacement barrel. Also look to see the condition of the witness mark.

I would not pay much more than shooter prices for this one.

Certainly not the original barrel.

As Italy does not allow 9mm, it is probably the related caliber that is allowed.

Many thanks.
The caliber is 7,65 para.
The barrel has no marking.
How much money i would to pay for it?

In the USA this gun should sell for maybe $700-$850, as we find 7.65 to be an expensive round to shoot, AND it is a mismatched gun.
I can't say what it will sell for in Italy.
If it was matching and original barrel in 9mm, probably closer to $1000 to $1150 here.
Keep us posted.

ok; but what do you mean "mismatched gun"

alanint 11-05-2014 02:35 PM

Since the barrel is not original to the gun and does not have a matching, (same) serial number, it is considered a "mismatched" gun, which places it outside the interest of most collectors.

Forum member Sergio (Screen name = luger.parabellum ), who also lives in Italy, may be able to give you a better, local valuation of the pistol in question.

Thanks Doug

The gun shuld be checked properly, from what we can imagine from the pictures it is a nice gun, but has got a new barrel, it's probably a honest shooter, but of very little interest for a collector.
A gun like that with a reputable gushop would cost about Euro 1,000.00/1,100.00 from a private owner the price should be a bit lower.

imho
