where is the best place to find gun value
I'm new to this and I'm looking for assistance in determining the value of this gun. BYF on the top, 7450 serial number, most parts are imprinted with 50. The blueing is ~70% and comes with the holster which has 42 stamped on the inside with a spare magazine
Thanks for the help http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...y/IMG_1916.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...y/IMG_1914.jpg http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...y/IMG_1913.jpg |
I think that we can help you if you post more photos. Maybe outside in natural light, as the flash usually creates more problems than it solves.

It makes a great deal of difference if the gun is all matching, or has mismatched parts.
Also, collectible Lugers have a higher value in original finish. It's not possible to judge finish well from flash photos. |
Hpoefully these are better pics
I won't ever be able to make a living as a photographer but I hope these are better

Are the 2 numbers on the safety lever "50"?
If all numbers match, inside and out, I'd say around $1200 on the gun. It seems to be an original old war-horse, not modified or refinished. But again a hands on inspection would be nice. Holsters bring anywhere from $150 to $450'ish, magazines from $100- maybe $250. These are ballpark figures based on the photos/info. provided and of course subject to change as more info. comes out. Does this help? dju |
