Erma KGP68A .32acp pocket holster?
 

Tried reading thru the holster forum with a directed search...but no luck.

Purchased the KGP68A at a local pawn shop awhile back. Been testing it since I got it home.
At first I thought, "Perfect ankle backup gun!"
Then remembered that I wear cargo shorts 11 months of the year...lol
So then, cargo pocket...need a decent cargo pocket holster for this little Erma...

So does anyone know what size pocket holster would fit??
Or what size in general fits the Erma KGP68A .32acp?

Also heard that those old Makarov holsters also fit 'em...
which would be perfect for wooded excursions...
or is there a better option for a covered holster with a mag pouch??

If you get the Rifleman magazine a neat little CC carry holster is offered in an AD. Belt carry but when closed looks like a small cell pack or some other innocuous nylon belt carry pack. IMO perfect for CC.

I saw those, and was interested until in a store last week...
A guy raised the right side of his shirt up with his left hand, was wearing an undershirt...
and he seemed to be wearing what looked to be one of those phone case holsters...
recognized it before he put his hand on the case...was behind him & off-right out of his visual range...
fortunately, he was going for his phone, and it struck me how long it took for him to get there...
how many movements were required to get to that case/holster...
and how many folks would know what you might be reaching for before you got to it...
and there are few things more noticeable in Florida than an undershirt in summer.

Answer is that mostly CCW/LEO's would know what you might be up to...nobody else...
and any in view would probably do what I did, had my hand on my pocket derringer...
until I could figure out if he was doing something innocent, or going to rob the place...
REALLY HAPPY that he was doing something innocent :)
The alternative would be far too much paperwork...lol


Gonna stick with the pocket carry...straight in, grab, out, aim, etc...
quick & simple...if you get the right holster that Stays In The Pocket!

There's another carry method that seems appealing..A waist band type that carries the weapon just above the crotch. I don't care for pocket carry because I already have pockets full of all sorts of keys, money, receipts the list is endless. Unfettered access is my goal. You are likely right about the belt carry pouch..

The main reason for the pocket carry of the ERMA is rat/snake/armadillo removal...
handy, yet the neighbors don't freak about a pistol on your hip.
While not usually a problem in rural areas, I'm in a 'burb with occasional libtards ATM...
prefer not to rile 'em until there is a reason. Out of sight, out of mind.

And it'll give me a chance to focus on the Erma for a bit...

Ended up going with an Uncle Mike's belt holster, size 15.

It isn't a perfect fit, barrel sticks out about a half-inch, for belt carry, its fine.

Will continue the search for a holster that's a proper fit for cargo pockets :)

Heck, if a regular belt/hip holster were what you wanted, I'd see if Jerry would make you a mini P.08 style! I read here that he's made them for baby actual Lugers. Never saw a pic, but I hear they are sweet.

If you can hook up with a leather worker you can work with, and know specifically what your criteria are, you might consider a custom job. That way, you'll get exactly what you need/want. I'd never even think of reaching for anything in LEO presence. Such movements risk a lead shampoo. Once someone with training gets into "muscle memory" mode, all deliberation is at an end. And it has happened.

BTW, I own almost a dozen Erma Luger-wannabes. The earlier ZAMAK models are definitely glitchy, so I'm passing on those mostly-steel-free 60s examples and concentrating on the KGPs like yours and the slightly larger KGP69s. I have some spare parts, FYI. If you're going to shoot this much, consider chamfering the leading corners of the extractor where they have a tendency to snag the receiver's extractor cut on the way into it and get tossed into the stratosphere, along with their tiny springs and plungers.

The only issue I've had thusfar was at the first range visit...
I decided to go before doing the usual detail strip & clean...
which was probably a mistake...turned out there was a LOT of oil
inside the gun, which probably led to some of the ejection problems...
oil+pressure+heat+burnt gunpowder = glue ;)
So that meant a speedy cleaning was needed :surr:...
did a fast strip & dry, and got back to the firing line...

Then figured out quick that one needed a firm grip with this pistol...
a soft or light touch led to ejection problems as well,
but with a firm grip, it fired like a sewing machine :)

I like it! I've got several different boxes of ammo to try out,
& will enjoy figuring out which one it likes the best!!


Would love a pic of what the extractors are supposed to look like after chamfering!!
