Frank and John S. ...Face to Face after all these years!
 

Frank Manders and I have "known" each other since 1998... and I am proud to call him friend... but for circumstances out of our control and fate, we have never been able to meet in person in all that time. Two weeks ago we managed to change that.

I had to fly into Phoenix for a single afternoon and depart immediately due to a family situation that needed my attention.

Frank graciously met with me, and even bought lunch ! :D, even though my schedule would not enable me to visit his home and meet his wife and see his collection of Mausers.

It was a distinct pleasure to sit and talk with him for over an hour, ... and then I had to leave. :(

We promised each other that we would not try and let 15 years go by before we do it again. I look forward to getting to see his Mauser Collection in person.

Thanks again Frank---I hope we have the opportunity to do it again soon... and next time lunch is on me! :cheers:


(BTW, those bags under my eyes are from more than 24 hours without sleep just before this photo was taken...)

You bet John. I had a GREAT time albeit too short. It was nice to meet your daughter and grandson.

Just let me know and maybe you can talk me into a dinner!! :)

You better get some new glasses David... Just compare the photo with Frank to my avatar and you should see them easily...if those bags were any larger I could carry groceries in them :rockon:
