proof Mark help?
 

I got my luger home, it's a 1940 Mauser, and on the bottom of the barrel near the frame it is stamped PSE...I can't find anything in reference to it online, what have I got here?

It could be almost anything or it could be an import marking - or if at bottom of barrel, are you sure they are letters or could it be something like 8,83?

Pictures would help, but this kind of mark and location could be typical of an import mark.
