My wife just skype called me from Germany. Her tour is spending the night in Erfurt! I told her to look for spare parts but she just laughed. I didn't have enough leave time to go with her on this trip. She is traveling with some church friends on her first trip to Deutschland. I will probably end up with one of those T-shirts that has written on it "someone who loves me went to Germany and all I got was this T-shirt" :D

I would have gone with her. I'm retired, enjoyed my time in Bavaria. :)

When I was was staying at Lager Lechfeld, I took the train from Kauffering to Munchen. We got off and walked to the big mall/plaza and I saw the storefront sign "Waffen Bavaria". I knew that was where I wanted to be, and sure enough they had stuff I wanted. I was dickering for a C96 Schnellfeuer [$750 USD] when the squadron Intel officer walked in...he took one look at me with my wallet out and the 712 on the counter and said "No!"... :(

So what was HE doing in the gun store? ... And what did he bring home with him AFTER YOU LEFT THE STORE?

That's a story for another time...So...Can your wife get that T-shirt for you in German??? :D
