Strange Luger
Listed on Gunbroker
Silesian Commercial Contract Luger Item # 406121410 Sorry, I do not know how to post a link. Maybe it's just me, but I have never seen a Silesian Luger. Some kind of rework I guess, nice grips?? Thanks, Bill |

Fantasy..

This is a counterfeit of a fantasy variation, produced by a known--and successfully sued--Luger fabricator. Be very wary when the source is Prior Lake, MN.

Dwight whats really crazy is that it has been viewed over 300 times. It gives legit lugers a bad name. Too bad we can't post our honest opinions! He should write for the Enquirer!! ~Eric

Yeah, the thing is, if you call out one of these scammers and challenge the authenticity of their offerings, Gunbroker will through YOU off the site! Speaks volumes about GB's ethics.

There is no place for ethics in Capitalism!!!

What a hoot! I saw another jewel this morning and forgot to post it. Going back and looking, guess where it is being sold from?

Looking at his other listings, this one looks suspect, however I know nothing about HsC's:
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=404600222 Believe that he has a Dutch Navy Luger listed too. dju |

It's the stories behind the Totenkopf, Spandau, and Russian Contract Lugers that make them so fascinating!!! I mean, if Germany had invaded England and won the war, would we now have "Enfield Lugers"??? With a crown over ER on the chamber???  :roflmao: |
Before I judge to harshly, lugers don't seem to be his main product and probobly took them in during a trade or pawn. He obviously does not know how to properly describe his lugers. On its face the chrome has mismatched numbers. On the other had it may be appealing to some one hopefuly in the next 3 months. Caveat Emptor 'Buyer Beware' ~~Eric

There are some Silesia marked Hi Powers but they are post war.

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=404600222 David, I, too, know little about the Mauser HSc, but check out what I've found. http://old.mauserguns.com/gungalleryModelHSC.asp Based upon the data here the serial number isn't possible. Also, it does look a little too shaky to me to be worthy of Mauser's workmanship. And other markings are NOT present, as reported in the article, which should be. Again, I'm throwing the BS flag on this one. Although, I have a warm-from-the-oven slice of crow pie which I am willing to eat when our REAL experts smack me back under the porch. Regards to all, Gunny John |
