Of course.

Install barrel, apply for tax stamp, get approved then get suppresser. Problem with a suppresser is it will close range as the low profile sights on the luger will not be usable.

Here's one all set to go (minus the suppressor) http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=398595083 . You could buy it and have the dealer hold it until paperwork is completed?

cirelaw 03-19-2014 08:22 AM

Beautiful, About how long does the paper work take?

gunbugs 03-19-2014 04:09 PM

Turn around time on a Form 4 transfer is about 10 months these days. Just do it, then go on with your life and eventually your paperwork clears.

cirelaw 03-19-2014 04:23 PM

Thats good advice! Eric

Eric, you're chasing a rabbit that will turn around and bite you.

Not necessary...the gun is legal as long as you don't have the silencer. Buy the gun, the apply for the silencer license!

Hugh 03-22-2014 05:54 PM

Suppressor or no?

I thought about getting a suppressor for my Ruger 10-22, but then thought nooooo....:nono:too much fun listening to it spit those little lead babies out!!!

Capone Would Be Envious!

Wait, where the heck did you find that 10/22 dress up kit? and only if said drum was as reliable as it looks ;)

Ron Wood 03-22-2014 11:08 PM

Hey Hugh...I got one of those too! But they ran out of the finned barrel before I got mine ordered so I am still waiting around to dress it up. They haven't had the finned barrel for quite some time.

Ron Wood 03-22-2014 11:33 PM

Correction! They are back in stock an I ordered one.

Get yours here:

Kinda hit & miss on finding a reliable 50 rd drum magazine, some work and some don't by the same manuf, and no make is more reliable than the other! You can get a dummy with the kit that holds 10 rounds.

Black Dog Machine makes the best drums out there, IMHO.

They run pretty much flawlessly in .22 converted M16s on full auto.

Eric

I don't know in the States but here in Italy the use/purchase of a silencer is strictly prohibited, not long ago I seem to remember reading about a home made silencer sort of thing made with car oil filters.

How is your Luger shooting going on?

I think this is the threaded Luger barrel you're referring to...[pic attached]...Guy on GB sells them...You would still need a ~3" 'shield' for the small drain-back holes in the filters...

I doubt any Luger 'silencer' that cycles the action (even if subsonic) would be very effective...

Then fixing a silencer on a Luger, what for?
Would have it any historical sense?
Everyone to his own taste.

Even if it was the same decibel level, as long as you could change the sound so it sounded like something else, it would be effective in disguising the source of the noise...For example, if you could make it sound like a car horn, no one would suspect it was a gunshot...[Extreme example]... :D
