Just acquired 1902 Luger Carbine

I've been a Luger forum lurker. I just acquired my first Luger, a 1902 Luger Carbine #23606. It actually was offered in a post on this forum in 2003. I just acquired it from a person who acquired it when it was up for sale in 2003.

It is a mint condition Luger.

You lucky dog! That is the classic Luger...enjoy! That is really starting off your Luger collection with one of the top pieces. :)

That is a beautiful Luger Carbine. Congrats It just doesn't get much better than that.

I was looking at this person's assemble of Lugers and when I saw this one I said I can have multiple Lugers or just go for one.:burnout: I'm an eclectic collector and don't desire to specialize in one make but to have a broad collection. Next on the list is a Colt SAA although I thought the Colt SAA was next on the list until I saw this Luger so who knows.:)

That's truly a beautiful Luger Carbine, the only problem that I can see is that any other Luger purchase you may make will be anti-climactic :), but hey, nothing wrong with starting at the top. Congratulations Ken and welcome to the forum.

That's actually what happened. LOL He showed me quite a few good looking Lugers, and then the last one showed me was the Luger Carbine. Then the previous ones he showed me looked pretty dull.:) He wasn't even planning on selling the carbine. We had a chuckle out of that.

Very much something. Looked up the original posting, pictures long gone, perhaps still on my laptop somewhere ;)

Wonderful find from another collector!

Man... I'm envy.

I almost had to wrestle my friend for it. He said if I didn't buy it, he would find a way to buy it.:) I wasn't that educated in Lugers, but he is. Thank goodness I have 20 years on him.:)

I didn't mention it's has all matching numbers including the stock.

:) :) Probably right on that one Eric, but I don't remember reading anywhere that says a guy can't look at it and dream just a little.:

What a great plan. Now that you have an excellent Luger you can concentrate on the Colt. Two of the finest pistols in the world.

Thor 07-23-2014 11:28 AM

Wow, stunning Luger! STELLAR!

John Sabato 07-23-2014 12:41 PM

A real TREASURE! Congrats!

Sergio Natali 07-23-2014 12:52 PM

Congratulaions indeed!

At a gunshop where I often go they had one for sale until not long ago for I think Euro 15K
