Holster for my K
5 Attachment(s)
I was at a local show today and I found this holster made by Carl Heinichen in Dresden 1934 with the markings of 2201a on the back. It was in nice shape and I have been looking for one for several years that I could afford. So it followed me home. Does anyone know what these markings 2201a stand for? I was thinking serial number of the pistol that came with the holster, i've only seen police holsters that matched the pistol.
Comment are welcomed. Regards, Jeffrey |
even a police guns I have seen did not have the suffix letter on the rear
the 1934 holster you might notice has the cleaning rod strap - this was only done for a short time around 1934 on new and on older holsters |
Thank you for your response Edward.
The seller thought that it was a unit marked holster. But I have never seen a unit mark like this, so that prompted the question of what the stamp was designating. Now all I need to do is fill in the missing tools to complete my rig. Best regards, Jeffrey |
Jeffrey, Congrats! Looks like a good one! I would have to say that falls into unit mark catagory as well? Doesn't look like any kind of pistol number IMO.

Hi Jerry,
Thank you for your response about the unit mark on this holster, I guess now I need to track down what unit this mark went for. It doesn't give me much to go from with the short stamp. Best Regards, Jeffrey |
