Bad Day At The Range

Anyone ever have a day at the range that turned out to be this bad? If so it would probably be a good idea to upgrade your
reloading skills or make sure there are no obstructions in your barrel. :)

Those are all pretty scary, but that artillery piece is DAY-YUM!

Yes, you're quite right, I've been reloading for over 10 years now, thank God I've never even seen anything like that at the range, BUT I know that these things happen.

Yep, pretty scary photos!!

My 'kaboom' story involves factory-loaded ammo and a very early s/n 15xx 1903 Colt hammerless in .32 auto. Fired a squib round, didn't realize it, and fired again. Bulged barrel, broken barrel bushing. CRAP!! I really wish I'd have recognized the squib load and stopped firing....

Don't use pistol-caliber Wolf ammo, ever.

I know the young man who owned this Marlin. He is missing two fingers from his left hand, and cannot use what remains of his left hand. It was the first shot out of the rifle using a bad handload. He was a novice at handloading and he used 700X powder , instead of Reloader 7.

I saw on youtube, where they completely filled the case of a 7.62x51R with Bluedot, and fired the thing! They used a string from a distance in a MN, no damage. The case was stuck, but that was all. Unbelievable.

Now that rifle REALLY did not like that much 700X powder......sounds like the shooter didn't either.
