Don't do it!

I wanted to preserve my original, and numbered grips on 1918 Erfurt, put them away, and fit the weapon with a set of repros (for shooting). After much deliberation, I decided to go with Numrich "laser cut" wodden grips. TOTAL disappointment! I expected some fitting, and I'm pretty good with Dremel, files, and sandpaper. All this would've been good, if the supplied grips are oversized!

But,....they are GROSLY undersized! To the point that they leave a gap at the bottom of the grip (by the mounting screw), that you can see the daylight through (not to mention that around the safety they have HUGE gaps, and look like a "million dollar chip" was already broken).

Waste of money and time. Save your money Gents.

that is true of so many of the repro grips or holsters out there - too tight or too loose

If you don't mind doing the fitting that WILL be needed, then perhaps you should look into the aftermarket grips that SARCO is selling. They will NOT fit when you receive them, but can be fitted to work. I have a pair on one of my shooter Lugers, and have no complaints for the price. YMMV

repro wood PO8 grips

I also have a supply of the Indian made coarse checkered wood grips from Sarco @$25 + $5 S&H. These are definately a bit too long and a bit thick, but can be fitted down to your luger. TH
