is there a difference between 04 06 and 08 navy stocks?
I need a stock for an o6 would a stock with a metal circle in it be correct?

Skye..Imperial Navy stocks were first issued with no steel disc. They had a Crown M stamped into the wood. The Navy acceptance mark. Later they added the disc..often the disc is seen intruding into the wood mark. Most stocks were converted from no disc to an added disc. I don't recall seeing one with no disc except a commercial..So IMO yes you could find a stock with a steel disc and it would be correct. Or one with a steel disc and a Crown M would be more correct.

It took me 10 years to find my first Navy stock. That was before the internet. I have acquired 2 more since. Be careful...laying out 3K or more for a hunk of wood is serious business..Lots of fakes and monkeyed with stocks out there. Do your homework. GOOD un molested stocks are few and far between and when you find one..expensive.

I bought a repro for 225 shipped and just wanted to make sure it was correct it has metal disk and was advertised as a navy.....sounds like i did fine

OH! OK..I have always tried to find the ODIN reproduction stocks. They are the best. Made in Spain in the 70's for the Mauser run of pistols.

I purchased one of these, from Slatters Armory in Alexandria Virginia, around 1979 or so and still have it. The stock lugs were of excellent quality and rarely needed refitting to a particular pistol. The actual wood and its finish, however, left something to be desired, though not really cheesy looking.

Are you saying above that they were produced to fit the Interarms Parabellums being manufactured during this same period?
