Fake accessories are not limited to Lugers
 

Luger collectors are not the only people who get ripped off regarding accessories like holsters.

Here is a WW2 type holster on ebay for 1911A1 Colt pistols... MADE IN CHINA, and they are asking $279.00! :eek:

Just a glance at the photos screams JUNK... the pistol belt hooks look like they are made from a wire coat hanger... and the holster doesn't even have a "US" marking on the flap.

...but there must be someone who buys them at this price... and then PAYS $29.00 additional for shipping. :eek: There must be one born every minute, as P.T. Barnum used to say...

A year or so ago I sold a MINT, unissued Boyt holster dated 1944. I mean there wasn't even fingertip oil on it and that only fetched $250.

A big give away was "10 available"
