Can you tell me the value this P-08?

I have this Luger I bought a looong time ago b/c I though it was neat. Never researched further into it. Kinda wondering what's it is worth now.
From what I can tell, it is a 1936 Mauser P08? It's all number matching, all numbered parts are the same. The grips and magazine are aftermaket. Bore seemed almost brand new. I'm sure it is re-finished, but it seemed a well done job. thanks, anthony |

anthony, welcome to the forum
It is hard to tell by your photos, but if refinished, the value of one is usually around $600+ - however, one that looks very nice, in 9mm and a WW2 / nazi era sells well, so I would think around $800+ |
Nice looking Russian Capture! Note the "x" on frame, and "crown N" proof on replacement barrel. If you look carefully, you will likely find an import mark on it somewhere...
Ed's valuation seems spot-on to me, looks like a great shooter. The magazine is an Italian-made Mec-Gar, and is the best aftermarket magazine made for the P. 08., and somewhat hard to find right now. |
Yes. On the slide, the importer is RTG-CORP Miami-FL. The magazine is Mecgar. It shoots great though!
Thinking of trading it in for a Colt Diamondback....or what I really like is a 6" Navy!! |
It's a nice gun anyway, with that mag probably also a good shooter.
I think that will be easier to trade it for a COLT Diamondback (that after all is an excellent revolver) |
