1906 AE "Cal 9mm" magazine

Has anyone ever seen a magazine with "Cal. 9mm" script on bottom but also with concentric circles (like a Navy magazine)?

Unfortunately I don't have a picture, and I need to know if this could be original or not.

[I asked this on Jan's site too, because I need to know by tomorrow to make a buy decision]

Thanks
- Geo

This might help

Geo,

Most Cal. 9m/m marked magazines are fakes. A concentric circle mag base would only add to the attraction of the unwary. If you cannot compare it to a known genuine sample, or get first-hand confirmation from someone who actually knows what a real Cal. 9m/m stamp looks like, stay very far away.

It is very easy. The repro 9mm's last m has a cursive connected upward tail on it. Originals have a last m with no upward tail at all, but there is a distinct and separate comma after the m.

...And that little tidbit will go right in the manual...

(If you don't want them to know it, don't post it...)

Nah, that is only a small bit of the differences between original and repro...so wait until more comes to light so that the fakers will have a better and more complete guideline. :)

Yes there are a many more differences or errors in the repro 9mm bottoms. But just in general I disagree with the "It only helps the fakers" philosophy. I believe that knowledge is the key to defeating them.
To me an example would be: "The FBI says there are fake $100 dollar bills circulating in your area. But we aren't going to tell you what is wrong with them because that only helps the counterfeiters!"
