Harvey Weinstein making film with Meryl Streep to make NRA 'wish they weren't alive'

Harvey Weinstein promised that an upcoming film starring Meryl Streep will make the National Rifle Association "wish they weren't alive" during an interview with Howard Stern earlier this week, and now it has a title.

A Weinstein Co. spokeswoman told TheWrap on Thursday that the film will be called "The Senator's Wife."

"I don't think we need guns in this country," Weinstein told Stern on Wednesday. "I think the NRA is a disaster area."

"I shouldn't say this, but I'll tell it to you, Howard," Weinstein added. "I'm going to make a movie with Meryl Streep, and we're going to take this head-on. And they're going to wish they weren't alive after I'm done with them."

This guy is a day late and a dollar short. Michael Moore did this allready years ago. We live in a society today where people can't remember what happend yesterday. This movie will be in the 5 for 5 dollar DVD bin soon enough at Wal-Mart after it's been made.

Let them spend their dollars. When this movie flops, as it must, Mr. Weinstein will be that much less bankable in Hollywood.

This is a great lesson in how out of touch these Hollywood gliteratti are from mainstream America. The fact is; gun sales are at an all time high as are gun courses and concealed weapons permits. WE all know what's coming.

I dont think we need people like that in this country and just like him it doesnt matter what I think but you dont see me running out making vendetta movies.,,,sheesh

Some time after the movie came out, Moore admitted the people in his film were scripted actors, not real people... :mad:

That pretty much shot his credibility with me... :rolleyes:

Borat has more credibility than Michael Moore.
