Anyone ever seen one of these?
I hope this is the appropriate forum.
At a local show last Saturday from 20 feet away I spotted what I thought was a military P08 "Artillery Model" with an 8" barrel. Up close I realized it was a Stoeger Luger in 22 Long Rifle with an 8" barrel and barrel mounted adjustable sight. I have one of the 4.5" Stoeger 22 Lugers but have never seen or heard of this version. I had to have it. Looks like way too much fun. It has a steel frame (I understand they started out steel and changed to alloy) with a slightly different contour on the side than my other one and rather than F and S on the safety it has green and red dots. I am still not 100% certain if this was a model offered by Stoeger or if it's the creation of a creative smith. Anyone have info? Thank you. http://www.fototime.com/41C62F8E41423B6/standard.jpg |

Yup, definitely a Stoeger. The colored dots/detentes may have been a feature of the steel variations--easier/cheaper to have text cast into an alloy frame than stamped into a steel frame?
wow, we're really seeing some unusual , odd-ball pistols this week! Want to swap for an Et.22? And I have an extra fore-stock you could adapt... |
