Those are great pictures and write ups.. Thanks |
Bill, I like you luv this stuff. Instead of blood and guts I rather focus on the individuals who made the history. Each year fewer those who lived it are are still alive on all sides. Hisory was is major and the internet has allowed so many to relive, learn, enjoy and share especially during this period of time! You are definitly one who appreciates it as well and its a pleasure~ Tks Eric

Eric,
thanks for sharing your adventure with forum ! Bill |
That is what its about for me-the guys who manned up or were called up to serve their countries in difficult times.
Back when our freedom required certain obligations and responsibilities. Highly recommended, even in peacetime. The experience of getting off ones porch and being involved with strangers in endeavors from mundane to overwhelming is rarely replicated t home. Learning and personal growth are rewards for the time spent. Not always fun or pleasant, but good for character. |
Hello guys,
I noticed an increase in traffic from this forum and wanted to pop by to say thanks for finding my site. My name is Brennan, the author and owner of the blog linked above. I spend countless hours researching the names of the men in the photos and have linked up dozens and dozens of families with photos and relics that I've been able to find at flea markets and internet auctions. Thanks for liking my site - if you like it, please feel free to send it along to friends and don't be shy to flick the 5/5 stars button to help boost my site. It's run out of pocket and has never generated a penny for me - it's all about the research and connecting the past to the present. Brennan PortraitsofWar.wordpress.com |
