C-96 windage adjustment?
Since we are enamored with brooms here lately, here's my question: How does one adjust the sights on a C96 for windage (right to left)?

"Send it to the Closet, they can help to fix the problem."
"Are you sure? It's them who drilled the new bore off center and created this problem." Never mind. Just a joke. Sheepherder can fix this type of issue easily. |
Kentucky windage.
Obviously there is no physical adjustment on the sight itself. I had a good teacher in my old timer grandfather. adjusting your sight piture is sometimesbetter than adjusting sights-quicker, too. |
If don't want to make permanent change, you can attach a thin plate at the back of the front sight, slightly higher than the front sight. Adjusting its position, that should solve left/right issue. Then, adjust the height of the rear sight leaf to match the height of the newly bonded front plate. It will work.
If permanent change is not a problem, the plate can be permanently attached to the front sight. But there are many ways, cutting/welding etc, more expensive. I will skip that part. |
