I have decided to build a 30 caliber shooter. Hope this is a good start.

Looks like a great start! now look for some 20 commercial stuff... and start building!! lot'sa fun.. but you need some serious patience as they don't usually just "bolt up" like an AR....;)...Best of luck to you...til...lat'r....GT

The barrel is on it's way, seller says frosted but bright. We shall see..

Do the forks look sprung on this?

You do realize that the barrel you bought is for a long frame/receiver found on the Model 1900 and some Model 1906 Lugers and won't work on later receivers such as a 20 Commercial? That is what Rick was referring to as long shank/short shank. If you think about cutting it down it is a bit involved and will require re-chambering and head spacing. I was considering buying it for one of my long frame projects but never got around to it. If you decide to go for another barrel and not modify this one, let me know.

Hi Ron, I do realize it is for the earlier long frame. Was just looking around on ebay and saw this and it looked to me like it had been sprung especially since someone took a pair of pliers to it. I am looking for a long frame for my project. Eventually I'll find one.

What is 'sprung'??? I do not see any plier marks here either... :confused:

In fact, it looks as though front sight blade has never been moved...

If it had a new style extractor... I would just make a spacer and shoot the crap out of it!!...:)....!and that way, you could tune your timing... best to all, til...lat'r...GT:cheers:

Yes, now. It looks as though the seller clamped the muzzle band in a vise and tried to unscrew the receiver with a bar in the 'fork'.

Didn't work out too well. :(
