I have a P08 marked to the 93rd Infantry Regiment one of the German units that took part in the 1914 Christmas Truce.

Thanks, very interesting.
My grandfather and one of my uncles took part in the WWI, and I still remember their words about those days.
The trench war was a bloodshed of young lives.

I don't know of any war that hasn't been a bloodshed of young lives.
Those truces were not highly condoned and a stop was put to them pretty quick.
I know in WW2 there was an instance or two where a tentative truce allowed policing up wounded, but humanity and combat do not mix well.
