The Yankee Armorer

Is anyone familiar or has had deals with Charles from the Yankee Armorer?

The owner is Charles Kaplan, a friend of mine and a totally honest fellow to deal with.

George, appreciate the help. . Pm sent. Perhaps you can help with my situation. Darius.

I've dealt with Charles, he sold me my Webley Mk VI with the .22 LR sub calibre 6 shot cylinder. I found him to be friendly, helpful, and honest.

hmmm.. i guess it must be just me then. :grr:

i confirmed acceptance of his counteroffer on a Luger both in email and personal call and conversation with him. he tells me he'll get back to me as soon as he returns from a scavenger hunt. i don't hear from him for several days, come to find he upped his price on this particular Luger on the basis that he was selling it "too cheap". now he wants 30% more.

so much for making a deal on a hand shake. :atwhore:

That sounds a little bit weird. You mean, he agreed on a price, and later regretted that was too low and rejected to sell it to you??

If you did not tell him that you wanted him to reserve it for you SPF on the spot, then, everything is still floating. He may get other offers, and you may find better price. No obligation on either side.

Hmm, I'm reading "I confirmed acceptance of HIS COUNTER OFFER both by email and phone call".

If that is truly the case, it sounds like Charles was not very ethical on this deal.

Charles tells a different version of the story.

I'm sure he does.

The proof is my confirmation email I sent him which I have (can provide to moderator), a follow up email as to "what happened", as well as sending him my FFL copy to complete the transaction. I was waiting on him to give me instructions for payment, as we agreed on a lay-away plan. He stated someone told him there's something wrong with his luger and so he pulled it from being up for sale, but a day later miraculously fine to be back for sale at 30% higher price.
Greed can distort one's perception.

Incidentally, since joining this forum i have made 4 honorable and uneventful purchases from senior forum members, in the process of a 5th. I have 1800+ 100% transactions on eBay, GB and several others.

Is it this Luger in the subject?

Because you mentioned lay-away payment, I guess it's this one due to its value....

Nailed it Alvin
