Dwm 1911

Hi,

I picked up a nice DWM 1911 today.
After taking the gun apart I saw that the inside of
my new luger is like brand new.

I do not have a second one which is so clean in the inside.

Now my question: Do you think that´s OK that way ?

The area on the second Picture is normaly dark grey .....

Opinions on that are very welcome.

best regards

Otto

Hi Otto, after looking at the photos of your Luger it looks like it has seen very little use and is in pristine condition, if the barrel is original and the bore looks as good as your frame I would say you have a very desirable pistol that any collector would be proud to add to his/her collection, congratulations on such a great find.

Otto:

You have a great luger. I have been refinishing lugers for quite some time. The luger you have is a pre-WWI unit when they applied the rust blue only to the exterior of the frame. The interior is 'white', meaning no bluing. In addition, the upper slide (when toggle removed) is should also be in the white. Very nice. I have a 1913 in some condition. Congratulations. If I may ask, what did you pick it up for?
