You haven't shown the right side of the receiver and the top. Very important in getting a fix on your gun/Jack
|
Hi Paul, it looks like a very nice 1920's Commercial Luger and I would put a price on it at somewhere in the $800.00 range but if you will be patient I'm sure that other members much more knowledge then I will
offer their opinion. Good luck. Lon |
The straw on safety lever and blue on grip screw really stand out on this Luger. Looks very unbalanced. Have checked finish on all small parts?
|
If thats a k it would be 1921 or 22 according to my resource . looks original from here but its in real good shape.
|
I am not finding anything wrong with it, and appears to be a nice Luger. In my part of the Country, it would bring $8-900 if all of the parts are matching, if not, $7-800.

I agree with Alvin. It is not a bad looking gun, but the straw and screws are too perfect, compared to the rest of the gun. The screws are the first to go and they show no wear. The blued finish looks original, but look at the rest of the gun, especially the front and rear grip straps.

Thanks to everyone for their responses. I will have it in hand toward the end of next week and will be able to provide additional pics.
Hopefully I didn't latch on to a bad one!? Thanks! Paul |

Hi Guys
Sorry for the late response, I now have the gun in hand and here are some more pics. Paul |
Hi Paul, Congratulations on acquiring a very nice DWM Alphabet commercial Luger.
While these may not command the prices of military proofed 9mm Lugers, I like them quite a bit - in fact my very first Luger was one of these in the "m" block from a year or so later... The finish quality on these was quite good, and your photos show off your Luger well. Good job! Marc |
Paul,
Thanks for showing us this righteous Luger. Very nice for a 90 year old gun. It a nice addition for anyones collection. My first Luger was one of these 1920 commercials. Dick |
Thanks guys, much appreciated! It may be hitting the market soon as well as my "Black Widow" rig I posted here a bit ago. My wife and I have twins on the way and are getting ready to put an addition on the house. I'll be fighting her off as long as I can! :roflmao:
|
I would trade any Luger,or for that matter any gun, in my collection to be in your spot....I just love kids....
|
Ha ha ha...............I agree, kids are great. I must admit though, things are getting ready to get a bit crazy! We have two boys, ages 5 and 2 with twin girls on the way. :surr:
