Pistol Storage
5 Attachment(s)
I have been looking for something to assist in the storage of pistols in the safe. I have been using Bore Stores, they work real well especially if you are going to stack them. The only problem is identifying which pistol is in which Bore Store. I thought about using some sort of velcro that can be written on but that still wouldn't work for me as I would still have to remove some to get to the ones in the back. The Armory Racks looked pretty good so I ordered a couple and I think they will be perfect for what I want to do. Sorry for the low quality pics,to much moisture to go outside.

I have a couple of those racks and they are very handy. Your three 1908s really caught my eye...the 1912 looks particularly nice.
|
I bought an Armory Rack a while back, and it worked so well that I bought a few more, then a few more, and now I have all my handguns on Armory Racks. The guns are packed like sardines, but they are still easy to get in and out of the rack. Now I can put 8 guns on a shelf that previously held 6.

Quite useful, I had something very similar, but at a certain point I had to discard the idea of using a rack like that as it was taking too much room in my safe.
|
I use bore stores on all my pistols and the way I label them is to use a labeling gun and label one of those plastic tabs on page seperators that I have cut off the top then staple it to the borestore near the top curve of the flap so I can see it on the shelf.

Thanx for posting this - I was so impressed I went and bought a "4 banger" Armory Rack!
|
Only FOUR? Surely four Lugers will not be the end of your Luger addiction... you should change your order to at least EIGHT! :D

Yea, yea! ;)

Here’s another example of the rack density, showing P.38s on an 8-Gun rack with a tray for numbered and spare magazines. |

Received my Armory Rack today. Very nicely made, heavy duty product. It isn't a recycled dishwasher rack! Loaded it up with 3 pistols and it works great! The padded tray is a worthwhile addition at minimal cost.
I guess I *could* carp about it not fitting my .17 Luger BB pistol, but the 4th position is already reserved for a Ruger Mk III I'm jonesing after... ;) |
A: As youprobably have found out, you can't fit your .17 Luger BB pistol on the rack.
B: You will have to pull the red end cap off of the rack to fit a Ruger MK III on the rack. Anything smaller than a .32 cal. won't go with the cap on and a .32 is a really tight fit. They ain't made for mouse guns. Having said that, they are really swell for .380 and up. A good product, well made and reasonably priced. |
Yes of course. I was being facetious about the BB pistol!
