What do I have?
 

I recently acquired my first Luger.

can someone tell me what year it is made and how much it is worth? I do not know much about these pistols.


from what I can tell, it has a DWM marking on top of pistol

no other markings on top, serial number is 77XX m?

it has a crown over a 'N' aligned vertically on the left side, and a "made in germany" on the right side of frame.

No other small markings, all numbers match on the barrel, frame etc.. and the finish looks original at about 95%, also its a 30 luger.


Is this a commercial DWM?

Sounds like a commercial luger made around 1926 for the export market. These have a value around $600-800--typically around 700 in the condition you describe.
