The mag you have is a now older, probably second or third variation MEC-GAR magazine... The steel follower is similar to the original configuration of Luger mag, but has been a potential source of binding on ALL Luger mags since day one... :eek:... and even though it is rare, it even happens on the hardened MEC-GAR magazine tubes.. Although seldom, maybe one out of a thousand.. but it does happen!!! The new MEC-GAR magazines have plastic followers.. and the problem is solved... :thumbup:....
