The Luger Mag Fairy
 

Over 15 years ago during my post stroke fog I lost the "flaming Bomb" mag that went to my test luger. This morning Debby after moving my desk for cleaning spotted a mag. I just assumed it was a same old mag like others. She was the one who noticed the 'Itty Bitty' round thing... Good ole St. Jude!!

If I were you Eric, I would spend the afternoon moving all the furniture items in your home to see what is hidden behind and under them!

This was missing for over 3 months. I had taken it off for cleaning and must have put it into my shorts pocket. Later search high and low. It was a rare piece off Mel Fishers Atocha. Months later Debbie heard something in the washer. The repair man found it lodged in the machine. It simular to the sock monster who feeds on pieces of your laundry!

My wife found an empty Winchester 9mm shell in our washer the other day. Musta fallen into my skirt pocket at the range!

I am missing somethings right now, but I don't remember what they are :D

After surviving 5 surgeries, two exwives, a subdural hematoma in Costa Rica the 4 years total in rehab/wheel chairs walkers, Cipro/heprin and a trech, the rest is no sweat! My God has spared me! I have a lot to to still do@! My problem is I forget what I lost. My short term memory suggs! I've never been happier! PS A loving and patient wife Debby sure helps. Also the fine friendships I've made on both forums over the ten years~~~Eric

Bill your things are not lost!! They are mearly misplaced!! They are generally within your very reach!! What happens is when you place the item down you are focussed on some other matter. I've misplaced both glasses almost daily. I now have a glass at both spots to half contain my glasses. The are always in sight! One at my desk and the other my reading chair. I'm going to write a book, 'Disabilitys For Dummies' thats if I remember!!!!~~~~Eric

That is a nice surprise indeed.

I had a young nephew spending the weekend at my place and he loves visiting my upstairs "War Room". Even though he was not permitted to go into the room unaccompanied and he never touched anything without asking, I did have one loaded gun up there within his reach (an ac-41 P38). So, for safety's sake, I removed the magazine and placed it somewhere safe in a place very easy for me to find later.

That was nine years ago.....I still can't find it. :mad:

2nd rule: You will only find it when your not looking for it! Two reasons for hope: nobody robbed it and it will reappear someday when your not looking for it or looking for something else!!! My Grandma said to pray to Saint Jude. The patron saint of lost causes!! Boy I needed him long before I lost anything!!!~~~Eric, A former Alter Boy!!!

I know I just placed it up high out of reach/sight and in another room. I've checked everywhere off and on for the last nine years. I guess it's time to start praying to Saint Jude....:surr:

My toddler son took the keys to my car and tossed them one day while we were puttering in the garage. They should have simply landed somewhere easy to locate. After tearing the place apart, they never turned up.
Ten years and many cars later, they appeared in a box of halloween costumes we were putting out for a garage sale.

I do believe in time portals.

A post stroke hint. Because of a right sided hematoma my short term memory is 3 minutes or less! I would spend at least an hour each day searching for my 2 pair of glasses. Glasses were the solution. One glass at my desk for reading and the other near the TV...... It has changed my life!!! ps I sat on 3 pair in the past!! It also Prevents scratches!! Next the channel changer!

Think you may have your Saints mixed up!

St. Jude is the patron saint of desperate cases and lost causes.

St. Anthony (of Padua) is the patron saint of lost and stolen articles.
