Walther PPK

Its Gorgeous.....but you cant just tease us......Tell the "backstory" about where and how you found it.. I went to a gun show here this past weekend 07 Sept. and did not see any good German pistols..with one exception...there was a 1941 AC P-38...all matching....that had been either chromed or nickeled....(it was bad) and they only wanted $650.00 for it......anyway....so where did you find this beauty.?....Danke......Hans Fischer

Oh sorry! Found it in a gun shop in christchurch NZ. Have been looking for one for awhile now. Went to the regional antiques firearm asc auction on the weekend and didn't see one there so that was the last straw! This little one just screamed at me to own her!! Took the slide off and had a good look down the barrel etc and she was a little minter for her age. Prob paid a bit to much but was a lot better than the original price they had on it. All up in US dollars with the current exchange rate I paid about $680 US.

NEXT on the hit list a P38! C96 and thinking of maybe importing a Colt 1911 from the US. Have currently just recieved the import permit to import a Bond Arms Ranger 2 which am looking forward too so thought might throw a 1911 on it too if the price was right. There plenty of 1911s over here but getting a good quality Colt is hard and starting to look at big dollars, upwards of $2 - $3000 nz

NZ LAws.?

How are the Gun Laws in New Zealand.?.....from all I have heard about Australia...and the confiscation they did couple years ago...its scary.....is New Zealand pretty strict and do you worry any about confiscation down the road.?........Hans Fischer

A very nice PP/K!! Congrast. The Colt 1911, and 1911A1 that are in nice/excellent condition are demanding big dollars here also. The post war models are much more reasonable price wise.

That's NZ$ so would be about $1400 to $1800 US

That doesn't sound too out of line IF it is not a parts gun. So many of these old warhorses have been referbed with parts from other guns and are a "mix and match" 1911. They are worth only as a shooter to me. Be careful!!
