Does anyone know what happened to FGS? Their web site has been suspended. They had some nice Lugers for sale.

Hi Geo, I understand that Doug Smith, the owner of F.G.S., is very sick. Most, if not all, of his Lugers have been sold off at various auctions the last two or three years, most recently in June.

About three years ago, I purchased some pistols from them. At the time, they told me about Doug's illness.

They were great to deal with. I'm sorry to lose them.

Doug has been very ill.

He has not had tables at NGD or OGCA for some time now.

I am sorry to hear that about Doug. I just spoke to them on the phone last year. I don't get out much.

I have met Doug on a few occasions, but I have dealt with his sales person, Ken, on a number of occasions. He is truly a gentleman and a wonderful person to deal with. I will sincerely miss my association with this company.
