Jerry years ago found me an original 1920 Luger Carbine leather sling. To protect my original he made me a beautiful replica. Much nicer than the original!!! Jerry also hand made correctly custom proofed leather carry case~~~~

Carbine w/o Fore End

Would this type of leather carrying case be appropriate for a 1920 era American Eagle 7.65mm carbine without the wood fore end but with the proper shoulder stock?

Dick, I would certainly think so. Does the pistol have a 12 inch barrel? I have had the "Lugermann" and several others want a carbine case made but for 16 inch barrels and I don't know where the other 4 inches would go!

I never ever had that problem.

Yes Jerry, the carbine has the 11-3/4 inch barrel with the proper carbine front and rear sight. The front mount for the fore end hand guard was never on this Luger frame.

Case dimentions

10' by 18' ~~~Perfect fit!!!

lugerholsterrepair 08-01-2013 07:19 PM

Dick, This type of case would accomodate with or without the forearm.

Sonny..I'm confused..You don't know what to do with it IF you had it? Or you have it and YOU don't know what to do with it? My Wife is always admonishing me..Jerry ! You always go to the lowest common denominator! We're men..I guess it's built into our DNA.

Jerry:
On the carbine satchel, my thought is that you make the case 2 inches wider on each end and use the extra 4 inches for a pouch. And I would guess the pouch wouch end up being approx. 4 x 6 inches.
I'm only a few weeks away from saying let's try it - for my carbine. First I am waiting for my stock to be returned by Lugerman.
Jack

Jack I saw the carbine on his site. It is clearly a few inches longer than mine. It won't fit in mine. I'm sure Jerry can custom fit your new pretty carbine!~~~Eric

Jack, Yes..I have thought of what to do and how..just a matter of sitting down with design paper and mapping something out. Right now I am snowed under with repair work! Too much to do, so little time!
