Happy Birthday

Thank all you fine gentlemen. It's the big 69 this year. I, like so many on this wonderful forum, was born in the first half of the last century. (Geez! Doesn't that sound terrible?)

To celebrate, Pat and I jumped in the ol' Corvette and took 90 miles of back roads to end up at "Moonlight Barbeque" in Owenboro, KY. If you're ever down near Evansville, IN or Owensboro, KY you need to stop by the "Moonlight BBQ" in Owensboro. It's fantastic, one of those regional places that shine far beyond its borders.

Again, bless all of you for the birthday wishes.

Regards,

Gunny John

John,

Welcome to the motley crew of the July-born. Thanks for your spirit and comments. Your 'Vette trip to the BBQ sounds like just the ticket to celebrate a birthday! (..a little envy here, as my springer softail is having fuel issues)

Many more!

David

David,

Alas, my Harley days are behind me now. After Desert Storm I did a 3 week ride, alone, out West to try to reset the head space in the brain housing group. (Some say it worked, some not.) When I came back I sold "Miz Baby" and the money I got for her became the front three acres of our "boonies."

Good luck on the fuel system. :( I assume you do your own wrenching, of course.

Thanks for the B'day wishes.

John

PS. July born...H'mmm. There must be something about November I missed. Too late to ask Mom and Dad.

mrerick 07-31-2013 10:13 AM

The cold dark approaching winter has that effect...

Happy Birthday, John....

My parents got married in July, and I think they wanted to time celebrations together!

That's not time to dunk your d**kie.
When the frost is on the pumpkin-
That's the time for d**kie dunkin'!"

Marc, I hope you don't mind my wishing you a happy birthday as well, since we're here!

Yep. Had a Chief "Boats" tell us young'uns that in, let's see, about 1962. Shoulda remembered...but I forget a lot these days.

A 1999 Maggie Red 6 spd Coupe. For some reason (prolly age related) I can't seem to post a picture of it. Oh well.

I was hoping for a more vintage one, 61/62 but any Vette still running is good enough. I had two 62's, both stock, first one was a 282 with both rag and removable hardtop, second was a 327, no hardtop but still with it's original fuel injection system. Real babe catchers.................wish I still had either one, at my age I need all the help I can getting a babe.
