1942 German Luger "Help!!!"
I inherited a German Luger from my grandfather who served in the Europe during WWII. I downloaded a sheet that would help me identify what exactly I have, but I don't know hardly anything about it. From what I have read, I see that it is common to find one with a mismatched serial number for the magazine. Well, the one that I have has all matching serial number including magazine, holster, and the little metal thing in the top of the holster. I was wondering if there is someone out there that can help me out with what it is I have and approximate price. I really appreciate any help. Thanks.

If you post pics and #s and proof marks on mag + loading tool and back of holster, will be of great help. Condition and rarity are the determining factors on any Luger's value.

From your brief comments, it sounds suspiciously like you have a police luger. Provide information regarding date, toggle marking, and overall condition and a beginning value can be set. Are there one or two magazines?

Sir, recommend first to post a photo. These guys are good. If not possible, look in the links section to the left of this forum and locate the luger disassembly section. This will provide a list of all the parts. Then take your gun and list every marking and number and reference it to the correct location on the gun by using the diagram. Then post it here and watch these guys have fun.
