Went shooting today, waited too long, it was high 80's and humidity is about the same, plus to shoot pistols, I had to stand in the sun. On the other hand, range is five minutes away and no one else was there.

Shot two lugers, a Walther 22 (newer), French conversion to 22 LR and a Ruger 22.

Ruger shot flawlessly, no picture, but it is a commemorative edition in Stainless - 4 inch, shot great

Mauser 1970's jammed every single round - however I did not bring any oil, so will blame that, its in 7.65mm - tried original Mauser and Swiss

1913 frame with special Train markings and unique rear frame markings. I had trouble with this one with a different top. Lyn found me this target barrel receiver in 9mm and using my same DWM toggle. it shot flawlessly, using white box Winchester, it shot and shot.

Also shot my Colt 1911 commercial - as usual it shot flawlessly.

The french conversion shot great, but ejecting was a pain, will take along a rod for next time.

The Walther shot great, really like it. Had been a bit nervous, guy I bought it from said he changed springs, etc because it would only shoot high velocity stingers. Whatever he did, worked, because it shot three different types of 22 LR flawlessly.

Overall a good morning.

Ed, Very cool! Always a good time. Probably a little hot out there for sure! Even a little toasty here in the mountains. Glad you got to go!

I love the French .22 conversion; reminds me of a Gasser I saw converted to .22...(I should have bought it)... :thumbup:

Cutting the forcing cone on that must have been a challenge... :roflmao:

Target barrel on the Ivory Luger has the thick flange that has been talked about before...

Ammo; some I bought a long time ago, some I bought recently.

Plenty of ammo at Penn gunshows, and I am always on the lookout for 45 ACP, 22 LR, 30 Carbine and 30-06 in trade, which I have done over the last couple of years.

The French revolver has no kick since its heavy as heck, more so because the sleeving adds more metal ;) seemed accurate, but I am not a bench shooter but a defensive shooter (MP background) and plinker.

I have had pretty good luck at shooter 9mm lugers, except for a long barrel 7.65mm that Jerry and I was test firing, it went on its way to a 'tinkerer'.

Ed, I got about 50 cans USGI 30 Carbine ammo. these are the sealed 600ounds cans, all but one in very good + condition, PM me if interested in one or a few, also go rare 800 round GI cans, a few, 1050 rd cans again a few, real nice stuff but not real cheap....

USGI 30 Carbine ammo used to be plentiful and cheap! Not no more.

That revolver conversion..you were able to keep a couple of bullets on the paper I see!

I just noticed..Kind of an expensive target ain't it?

Different sort of shooting, but I spent the day at an ATA registered trap shoot. 300 rounds fired, good bunch of guys and girls.
Didn't shoot as well as I should, but there is always next time.

Jerry, my regular targets are hidden somewhere and since I bought 300 of these Mauser targets, I thought I would splurge :)

Your long bbl. 9mm shooter Luger is a handsome piece. I like that one a lot. It was also extremely hot here in So. Az. yesterday(108F in the shade, and NO shade).
